I’ve seen plenty of posts where people recommend the 19-inch WW Classic with 4 GPM belt drive machines (despite the general rule of thumb of 4in per GPM), just curious if a direct drive somehow makes it not work as well as it would with a belt drive. Or does the type of drive have no effect on surface cleaning function?
I don’t mind going a little slower, just want to make sure it wouldn’t be even slower with a direct drive than it would with a belt drive.
Direct vs Belt will do the same thing. The “drive” mechanism wont affect your speed.
You would be better off getting the 16in whisper wash. The 19in will be a lot slower
Thanks, I was thinking going with the Classic in hopes of eventually getting a much better machine (5.5 or maybe even 8) and not needing to upgrade the SC also. But if it’s brutally slow, it might make sense to stick with 16 in to start.
I used a 19 inch Classic with a 4gpm machine for a year. It worked great…better than my 20 inch Hammerhead. You do move slowly though. The Classic pairs best with 8gpm. I currently have the 16 inch Eagle Wash paired with 5.5gpm and it works great. I wouldn’t buy a Classic unless you plan on going to 8gpm at some point. If not go with the 16 inch Eagle Wash
Rick, what are you using in the training video. I got the two bar@24 in but didn’t get the manufacturer. BTW, great video. Made my guys sit and watch it today. Thanks
