man ive always wondered how these jobs get sent out and how the companies find people… we do plazas and gas stations a few times a year but theyre always getting sub’d to us from one of our clients. But he gets them ALL THE TIME and they dont PW… Im not sure if he just has that many connections or if im missing a key point of advertising for this kind of stuff

yeah we are the highest rated PW company in our area by a decent amount. Hoping more commercial hits this season!
Commercial is ok. You can make just as much in Residential if you book enough. And residential doesn’t get you a tax form in the mail at the end of the year lol

Lol my wife has been my grounds guy/gal for over a decade. I fire her once a week for having a bad attitude at work. Every time I hire a new grounds guy she stops talking to me . Sometimes I do this on purpose . Sometimes for weeks .
But in the end she is very good at it. With her I can do 10 roofs a day sometimes. Nobody else I’ve ever hired as a grounds guy can keep up.
If they let a plant die they only have to hear about it until they go home . My wife will hear about it the rest of the day so I doesn’t happen much

No I never rinse . That number only happens on hoa stuff. There all next door to each other . We did 4 today through 3 different counties. We had 5 on today’s schedule but someone forgot to mention there was no water at one of them. So it got rescheduled
Blaire has a tendency to “master” a job and get mad when I micro manage her. So today I showed her what I wanted done and how the new pressure washer worked. Every time I thought about asking her to do something different I thought “is it worth doing this by myself the rest of the job” lol

Why you need water with your big truck? A roof can’t tank that much!
I don’t if the tank is full but it wasn’t because the water sucked at the house prior. I just need to know ahead of time so I’m aware I need a full talk . The realtor didn’t know the water was off otherwise she would of notified me. Either was I wasn’t upset I was beat anyway and ready to go home

I especially like it when they drive right over my cones and it gets stuck under their car and they drag it 1/2 way across the parking lot, or better yet they almost run over you they’re so busy looking for a parking space.

Here for all commercial jobs I am required to set up an exclusion zone, cones and tape are not classed here as an suitable deterrent.
We used to use orange flags like the ones they hang in used car yards, but in 2002 we were forced to use 4’ barrier mesh, if someone was to attempt to scale the barrier mesh it is obvious to all they have put them selves at risk, rather than being unaware or unsure if they were entering an exclusion zone.
I remember on another post of what I have to use was posted from WCR and I believe most people said unless that is what OHSA require they would not be bothered to put in the effort to keep the public safer.
Nothing new after all the USA is about 15 years behind the rest of the first world when it comes to safety.
I do a gas station that’s located in one of the highest crime rates in the city. Open 24/7. From 10pm -6am. It’s always interesting. These few hours makes me lose faith in humanity

I had a methed out guy ask me for 25¢ yesterday. I told him all I had was my debit card. He proceeded to take off his shirt and pace around for 20 minutes while we set up.
He showed up at the end of the day and almost asked me again. I’m sure he will be back today. Yesterday I had the liquor store and 1 grocery side closed off. Liquor side says it all at 10am lol

A few punch list things tomorrow but this job turned out beautifully! Management was over the moon with the outcome.
