We are putting a presentation together for NOLA, but really want your thoughts on what you would like to see covered?
Solid marketing techniques that are tried and proven to work in this Industry. Not something that has been proven thru other Industries to be the best way to make your business successful. I am tired of all that.
Show us the success stories of other Powerwashing or Window cleaning companies that have really done well because of applying these marketing idea’s. Not just them saying “This was great or that was great” kind of thing cause anyone can do that for a pal. Have them show us these companies now having 10 trucks out working or them flying there own airplane(ok maybe that’s a little much).
I no longer want to see “Yes we can get you first on google searches or first page stuff” I want to hear the actuall success stories and see pictures from the presenter of these now successful Powerwashers and Window washers who applied their marketing methods.

Not sure what you’re expecting John, your request seems over reach quite a bit.
We’re all looking for that “Holy Grail” of marketing but the fact is it’s always changing. What works in my market might not work in your market and so on.
There’s no “Magic Bullet” to marketing. You have to try combinations of different methods to find the one that works for you.

If there is a Tried & True no fail marketing plan out there…you can best believe they’re not telling.
No what I want is the success stories and proven success stories from the Powerwashers that worked. Last year there was a certain individual who said how good he is and how will his Powerwashing clients are doing who use him and next thing you know the guy was s fraud.
Also so many guys advertise that they will get anyone who signs up with them the first page Google ranking. That one is a mystery because just about all marketers say that.
Where are the Powerwashers they did this to and can those guys show us with pics since we can’t go to the place of employment how they really improved?
I want the real deal Guy. I want to see these things have actually worked for the Powerwaashers and Window Washers and hearsay is not going to work and either Is the buddy system. Let’s see the real deal and success stories within this industry. Thats what I would want most in the marketing end.

I did a lot of checking before we signed her up as a vendor member for PWRA. I got nothing but rave reviews for her performance. Guy and Trey were already customers of hers as well as Bob at PTek and a lot of others and they all said she was the real deal.
OK now we’re on the same page. There are many ways to market and I believe your website marketing is and will be the #1 form of business marketing from now on.
Yes I get these calls all the time too John, fact is no one can promise that they can make your site 1st page of google. But when they call I tell them my site is 1st page 1st listing in my service area, and 1st page 2nd listing for the State of NC…so what are you going to do for me again??? Hahaha!!!

Yes same here but my weakness is I tend to work harder where it gets to the borderline of insanity(such as next week right after thanksgiving dinner me and my crew are heading out to do a parking garage 3 states away). I need these marketing geniuses to show us there system does work and it’s well worth the money it cost to do business with them by them showing us people in this Industry that have really prospered.
Also we need them to make it easier for people like myself to understand it better so I just don’t spend money and it goes to waste because the promises were not met.
I am happy with Keith from KBX graphx who does my website but I am also open to using other net wizards to keep my bottom line increasing every year as well which is where working smarter comes into play for us instead of me running from one state to another chasing work which is where I’m working harder and not smarter but I am making money by exhausting myself kind thing.

Look the best Marketing plan is dictated by the Market, and no one can dictate your Market. You’re looking for guarantees… News Flash… there ain’t no guarantees! You know a lot of successful business people John ask them they’ll tell you the same thing.
I think you need to look at your systems, and ask yourself why exactly are you running yourself to insanity. Micro Managing?
I have to agree with Guy on multiple topics. First, EVERY market is different, and most of the time, each wp/wc business owner has a different set of goals. We don’t perform the same set of marketing services for every company, because it has to be tailored to YOUR needs, YOUR customers needs, and YOUR markets needs. With that being said, anyone who guarantees placement on search engine is either lying to you or it’s first place for a search of your business name.
At NOLA, I want to address some specific needs of this industry. We’ve been building sites and marketing specifically for pressure washers for over 7 years. Since not many can say that, I want to put some of the knowledge we’ve gained out there.
Tell me what you want to hear about, what your specific struggles are. What are the things you’ve been told or read that aren’t working, or are too cumbersome to accomplish? Don’t tell me what you don’t want to hear. Believe me, I’m not here to sell you something you don’t want. I prefer to educate and be there to help along the way.
Enabling business owners in this industry will only benefit us all.

I guess what I would be looking for won’t be shown by you Anya. Nothing wrong with that because I’ve been around long enough to know you can’t please everyone. In my experience of being a Powerwashing business owner now for 18 yrs what I would want most when it comes to marketing is to see these marketing people have successes with the other powerwashers and window washers and how there company has benefitted from your Services. To take that a step further if those Powerwashing/window washing guys can now show us thru pics or something like that on how they improved… To me that is gold. You could actually show those examples of them in your NOLA presentation.
I may be asking the impossible but I don’t believe I am so that’s why I ask. I want to see the marketer do their class then I want to see them to not only say a fellow Powerwasher or window washer is now more successful but let’s see how they are as well.
Show me the Proof so I can try your service and now I can show the “money” by what I did expanding my business cause of this, machinery I was able to buy because of this, the 2nd home I was able to buy because of this, my daughter getting her college expenses paid by me because of using your services etc. Those stories and there verified is what would turn me on the most.
I have alot of marketing idea’s I would like others to take care of for me in my company. But solid proof their good thru there work in this Industry and not the landscaping industry for example because I have zero interest in those type companies.
I hope you don’t think I being harsh on you Anya because I’m not. Just offering what it is I’m look for.

I will be at NOLA along with the brains in my company who’s my wife. Anya can you answer this. I am happy with my website but the thought occurred to me to have numerous top ranking websites and have them both linked together. Would you recommend that or would google pick that up as spamming?
Besides building people’s websites what other services do you offer. I have aprox $15,000 set aside for a large marketing campaign for next year and who knows, We may hire your company. What would you suggest we do with out Marketing budget dollar total for next year and what should we spend the most amount of money on?
Looking forward to seeing you in NOLA but our marketing expense might be dipped into heavily before then, sowhat do you suggest that you can do for and maybe other companies in my type of situation as well

John are you looking for a marketing company with references?? If that’s not enough, then Guy is probably right; what you’re looking for doesn’t exist.
If you do mean references, and not just “They’re gggrrrreeeeaaaattt!!” - I’d be happy to talk with a few of my customers about the specifics of their growth since using us. I don’t think anyone has bought a 2nd house yet, if so I’m not charging enough…

I’m not looking for Gaurantee’s or ways to get my money back. None of that garbage. I don’t need someone to say “Hey if your not happy with us within 30 days will refund yada yada yada” and I’m not looking for someone to say go with this company because "Their this or their that because I heard that way to many times over the years.
There are only a select few I would trust on a blind ,but yes what I’m looking for are the referrals testimonials as to why they picked company “X Y or Z” and how it worked out for them and these referrals are Industry type people.
This Anya is one of the things I’m going to look for when choosing a marketing company instead of the usual “We promise to get you on page 1 of google searches” and typical sales type pitches like that.

I like picking people’s brains on stuff I’m clueless about and Marketing is something I am very clueless about besides trial and error. So now I want a little more such as proven results from industry type people… Livin and learnin Bro;)
I’d be glad to talk with you personally about your marketing. Perhaps we’re a good fit, perhaps not.
However, at NOLA I’m not looking to try and push our services on attendees. It’s going to be more of an educational class. Introducing new techniques as well as teaching how to effectively accomplish ‘older’ (I hate that term, I’d rather say ‘proven’) techniques without tearing into your workweek. Defining some misused marketing terms that apply to this industry. And of course, giving away goodies! We’ll bring information with us and talk to attendees before and after classes though.
