The best gun is the one you take with you everywhere. That said, if you’re into wheel guns the Ruger LCR comes in a few different calibers and is a pretty decent little gun for the price. If you want a smaller auto, Glock has pretty much every size you could want.

OR

Be a man and carry a 5" 1911 and then when you run out of ammo you still have a good bludgeoning tool.

Springfield Armory XDS 3.3… comes
In 9mm, 45acp and I even think they offer a 40cal option. Regardless of caliber the gun is identical in size. It has great sights, very nice trigger, very nice reset. It’s very concealable. The 45 is a hand cannon being such a small gun but it’s manageable the 9mm version is extremely manageable with recoil which is great for follow up shots.

Haha I love the saying “If it doesn’t start with 4 don’t bring it to the gunfight” but it’s proven a 9 will drop your target as well. The FBI did a study on it actually. The Reasons Why FBI Went Back to 9mm | SOFREP

The FBI and Marshalls probably proved that today!

I was just going to reference that study!

In a nutshell, it takes 3 rounds to incapacitate a threat, of either 9mm or .40

The difference in wounding capacity between the different rounds was negligible.

Taurus PT140, for around $300,light and snappy, but still accurate.

Yeah, the FBI also wanted a 10mm because they didn’t think the 9mm packed enough of a whallop after all the craziness that was the ops and early 2000s.

My personal preference is to alternate load hollow point (home defense rounds lol) and FMJ. That way if I need to go through a car door or wall I can. My shotgun is loaded with “home defense rounds” basically a slug and some 00 buckshot. Also will go through a wall.

I’m actually shopping for a EDC after 20 years in the military I didn’t carry because of always going on base (you cannot carry on base). I almost got the S&W Shield .40 but really disliked how unbelievably stiff the slide was on it. I liked the slide on the Shield EZ but hated the palm safety on it. I might go look at the Springfield compacts for an EDC.

My favorite full size pistol is the S&W M&P .40.

Would you quit talking about guns, we’re discussing important stuff, like Hotshot’s shooting skills, LOL.
