Wife and son are heading to Calgary and Banff at the end of month. 6 day trip. Suggestions for them?

Not all Canadians speak with an accent like they do in Calgary and poutine is only good in Quebec. Wish I had some suggestions but I’ve never been out that way before.

No Kraft dinner in the US??

Yes but its packaged and called differently. We call it mac 'n cheese

So apparently it debuted in Canada and the U.S. at the same time and was originally called Kraft Dinner in both but switched to macaroni and cheese in America. I’ve never heard it referred to as Kraft Dinner in my life

Ahhh I see. I’m not really a fan of the boxed crap. Homemade mac and cheese is where it’s at.

Nice history lesson haha. We only call Kraft dinner Kraft dinner or KD. Everything else is mac n cheese lol

Is your son (legally) a child or adult? Might change the suggestions hehe. My wife lived there for 20 years before we meet and I can ask her.
I know the zoo in Calgary is popular. They just had the stampede so there might be some residual festivities. Horse track is a fun afternoon.
In Banff since it’s their month long summer will have some hiking or sightseeing excursions. You can literally just drive to Banff and get out and watch wildlife in the town. If they are into sightseeing there’s no lack there.
Also if you are into casinos, there’s one everywhere. Can gamble on the video machines in restaurants and pubs.

Bro. My lady makes homemade mac n cheese that will rock your world. It’s the only way I want it now. I won’t even eat that weird yellow junk out of the box anymore.

You’re a lucky guy. My lady makes some good eats but I’ve yet to see some homemade mac n cheese. Lol I don’t think cheese is an ingredient in that boxed crap.

Don’t know what any of that is but looks like they have a lot of events throughout that time

If they are into hiking inbox me. Other than soft washing and roof cleaning, I spend 90% of my time hiking and camping in that exact area.

I thought you were back east for some reason. Or just out for the season?

I have three locations - one in Ontario & two in B.C.

Poutine is what is getting them there. We had it at some restaurant last month for my parents 50th anniversary. Family discussion for a getaway and the boys wanted poutine and my former wildlife officer wife wanted Banff. I don’t fly if it’s less than 3k miles and begged off. Wife and are already taking off in September for anniversary.

Wow. That is beautiful.

Here up north we have quite a bit of serene views. Makes for quite a vacation.
