Call to action

I’m running an add in a local mailer and looking for suggestions on call to action/coupon ideas. I haven’t done any mail marketing in a while and I’m kinda out of practice. Looking for ideas.

In the past I have offered flat rate washes for double or single story(up to 2,000 sqft, .10c thereafter). Free patio washing with house wash. $20 off. 10% off. Etc etc. it all seems old and worn out. Looking for something new and clever if it exists.

The marketing company is in my BNI group so I’m gonna give them a shot and see what happens. It’s like $650 to reach over 10k higher end targets. Better then eddm but more crowded. There’s 12 other ads but they’re all half a page.

I recently ran an add offering to donate 10% of proceeds to local youth non-profit. Seemed to work pretty well and was able to work out to have a banner put up at their location also.

I’ve had success with$ amount off. Seems.to be a winner in my market.

Stick with what works man! I prefer a $ amount off over % off but that’s just my call.

Cant wait to try eddm. Working on tha k you post cards now to send out after we finish a job.

Im thanking of having a photo of me and the family in business shirts and hats with “Thank you” above it on the front and on the back having the logo with
"Thank you for choosing us to clean your property. We are a small family owned business that takes huge pride in taking care of our customers and providing the best service possible.

In our line of work “word to mouth” is priceless. Honest reviews and referrals will help us gain more customers and grow our business." Beside it with face book and google info to leave reviews.

I already send out request for reviews 2 weeks after job is complete and these postcards will arrive in the mail box a week before the review request is sent.

Man let me know how that goes. I’ve been thinking about sending out cards after a job it’s a little thing like that, that goes a long long way. For bigger clients or ones that refer us I was pondering sending out a brownie or cookies.

Don’t send out food. You’re not a bakery. Send out thank you cards or if you want to go above and beyond send them a gift card that they can use anywhere.

No doubt. I’m a foodie. I love to eat and I love to cook. But the minute you get that phone call from a customer complaining that those cookies gave their kids food poisoning you’ll wish you hadn’t. There’s a reason that restaurants have mandatory health inspections and countless regulations that they have to adhere to.

Ah - I didn’t mean I would be making them (that would pretty much ensure the entire family does get food poisoning) I received a package from either a local store or some website online. Packaging said nut free if I remember correctly. Have to look into it more. If it works I will share :).

Sounds good. Be sure to find out everyone in the household’s food allergies beforehand. Also, vegans, diabetics and people with bowel disorders require very different diets. You should just create a questionnaire form and have your customers fill that out and then you’ll know what might work.

Or, just send out prepaid Visa gift cards that EVERYONE can use.

Gauley ! What happened to ppl in the last 30 or so years. Everyone allergic to this or that. Can’t eat this ,cause get the runs, can’t eat that cause ,bind up tighter than a banjo string. Geeze

For me personally, I blame wrestling. I spent 5 winters starving myself and then spent summers gorging myself. I probably did some serious damage in those years

I’m not saying it’s sissy poo or nothing, I’m actually concerned about all the food allergies with the younger folks these days. I try to blame processed foods and artificial preservatives they put in our food. Monsanto especially. I’m not saying I didn’t eat moon pies, hot dogs, bologna, wonder bread ,twinkies, jjs pies etc in my youth, but I never heard of any problems like ppl have today with food. But I’m an older fart, grew up on lard and rare meat and brown eggs. Who knows. I’m done ranting. Lol

Oh no you’re absolutely right. Processed foods and that whole “low fat” diet that swept the nation has created a generation of diabetics and allergy stricken folks. That and now media is so huge we hear about everything that people are dealing with and more voices are heard on the matter due to social media and whatnot. That’s my rant lol

Thinking about advertising that we donate a certain % to breast cancer foundations, after I decide the best foundation to donate to. Thought about putting the pink ribbon on shirts and what not too, and offering a discount to cancer survivors. Mainly more of a personal reason for me though, and not just marketing. Wife had a double mastectomy just the other day. All about bc awareness now, seeing as she’s just 32. Had she not felt it, and gone without a mammogram until the recommended 40, it would’ve been a much worse scenario.

A guy around me has created a lawn care company that’s named 5% lawn care or something like that. His marketing strategy and mission statement basically says all 5% of all profit or proceeds, I can’t remember which, will go to a veterans foundation, I can’t remember which one either. I don’t really like the name but it does spark interest. People around here are super patriotic and have lots of respect for veterans of all wars. I’m not sure how he is doing financially but I mean I remembered his company name and what he does. So that’s something.

I wouldn’t hire a company that sent me food, gifts or cards. That means their pricing is good enough to absorb that cost. I’ll pay the cheapest price and but my own cookies.

Yes but you have a 99$ guy that does your house. My minimum fee to come out is 299$.
