I only use them on sundays. They are a little more expensive then my normal place.

There outrageous they charged me $1.35 a gallon last week. :grinning:. I’m spoiled at .90-.99 cents a gallon.

Bump this back up. I am getting back on track with setting up a bulk (either 500 gal or 750 gal) tank set-up to receive volume deliveries of SH weekly direct from the manufacture and sell to area power washers.
I am setting up a shop with the tanks inside along with a metering dispensing value to track purchases. I am thinking of preparing 1gal, 5 gal and 15 gal containers for purchase along with bulk tank fill-ups (you bring your tank and I’ll fill it up).

  1. Initially I will not be doing any delivery. Gotta sort through DOT regulations and determine if it makes sense. You will have to come to the shop to pick-up. Looking at the Round Rock / Pflugerville area to set-up shop.
  2. I will be also looking to procure additional chemicals such as surfactants, Sodium Hydroxide, Oxalic, etc. All the common stuff we use, to sell as well. Your one-stop shop for everything you need.
  3. Due to lack of quality power washer focused vendors in the area, I will also be looking to carry parts, nozzles, etc. It may start out small but grow as demand dictates. Right now, I can not find a 1/4 inch meg nozzel for an 8 GMP machine in a 2 mil pop market. Crazy. We have Northern Tool which is what you know it to be, we have a Landa dealer that appears to be more focused on automatic car wash business, a Hotsy dealer that did not impress with selection of common items we use, then a couple of other random places that carry some stuff but inconsistent in stock so it is a crap shoot to go there or not and then of course Home Depot and Lowes.

I have several washers get back with me discussing purchasing SH and other items. I am asking if any other washers in the general Austin Area are interested in getting true 12.5% weekly at a good price, let me know asap as I need to make a few decisions in the next week or two about what size set-up I will run with to start.

Check with your state first . If your a chemical distributor both you and the property your working out of need to be approved by the state . At least that’s the way it is here. A couple small engine repair stores tried to get into being vendors. They found out the hard way. They were actually giving the stuff away to get it off the property within 24 hours or the fine was HUGE . Live changing HUGE

I am working on those details now. I am still about 1-2 months out from having product on site.

What part of Texas?

I don’t know of any details on storing large amounts of SH but where I get mine at, they have 3 very large holding tanks, maybe 15-20 ft dia by 30-50 foot tall. All in the same concrete tub/bay. Stored outdoors. I’m guessing just because there may be a spill at some point. You may have to consider the same.

I think this is a old pic from google, the two tanks with a big square around it.

You are correct. There is a regulation that the storage vessel has to be within a containment vessel. I have several thoughts on how to do this. This is why I am seeking what the interest level is to determine total volume I will be handling to get a good idea of what configuration I want to proceed with. I also want to consider scalability to grow if demand is there without having to reconfigure my set-up.

I talked with the manufacture and he showed me some pictures of other clients with their containment barriers and lets just say, if the set-up in either picture I saw had a leak, they would have SH all over the place.

Well if I’m ever in the austin area, and need a fill up I will know who to contact.

The laws change dramatically when it goes from storage to distribution. You need to provide msds on everything you sell especially if you try to claim it as yours
