Bypass/Buffer Tank

Getting together parts list to order everything for new machine. My tank wont be permanent so i will have to be able to discount, and might hook up to spigot if house will support it.

Can i use QC fittings for bypass hose at the pump and tank?

I know i would have to get barbed QCs or 3/8” barb to put fittings onto. I didnt know if that would be sufficent, or if there was an easier to disconnect without taking off hose clamps everytime.

No need for clamps on bypass. Shark bite style barb on unloader and just a snug hole drilled in top of tank for bypass hose. If no tank, where is bypass hose going to bypass?

Touché. No house spigot then, thank you. Flipping through this Dultmeir Catalog getting ahead of myself.

You can just let it bypass onto the ground when hooked to a faucet…it doesn’t have to bypass into a tank.

Don’t do that

Why not?

It cools the pump just the same as it going into a tank,

It floods the yard or driveway of whatever you are parked and wastes water

Why would you not recycle to tank?
It’s wasteful

He was not wanting to use a buffer tank all of the time.

Anyway, nothing about pressure washing conserves water. The is plenty of wasted water on any job.

That is not a true statement

I honestly didnt think about bypass if hooked up to spigot… if i was doing flatwork and would be on the trigger the while time i dont think i would mind it, but id hate to have water flooding the entire area when in bypass.

Tank is insurance, i guess it would be stupid not to use it if i have it really.

I can’t see bypassing water to the gutter is “better” than putting back into the tank, or back into the pump.

Please explain.

You tell me that your guys don’t waste water with your 8gpm machines.

If you say they don’t…that is not just an untrue statement…that is a lie.

And, you know how you hate liars.

They don’t waste water.

BS…and you know it…just as you know what that makes you.

Dirt dauber nest that has to be hit twice or three times…by the time the water gets to it, it is covering a 1ft or larger area,…dirt dauber nest is 1 inch.

Stubborn cobweb string on an eve…hit it a couple of times…same as the dirt dauber nest…putting water on 1ft or larger area for something the size of a pencil lead.

These are just 2 examples of WASTED WATER.

Oh, that is right…y’all’s process won’t allow stubborn stuff to hang on the wall and have to be hit twice or maybe three times…along with the clean area all around it…it has to all come down on the first pass.

It is one thing to be a knowledgeable and experienced pressure washer contractor…it is something else to deny what is absolutely the truth.

Not sure what had you upset but you’re kinda loopy tonight. Get some sleep and maybe tomorrow when you re-read the posts above you’ll see you are being dumb received_10154958355611105

Plus, my customers can spot ANY leak on my rig and ALWAYS give me a look.
I had a problem with my supply to my rig all season, It seemed I was always chasing some stupid leak down.
I had several large ($$) homes back to back during that time, and almost every customer pointed out the fact that my rig was leaking water on the driveway or whatever underneath my rig (embarrassing)
I’m just saying, if you want to look professional, don’t bypass on the ground.

Water being used to wash isn’t wasted. Water dumping on the ground while you aren’t on the trigger is wasted water

Oh, not upset…I said water was not conserved pressure washing and that water was wasted on every job…you said that was not true.

There is water wasted on every job…not nearly all of the water is used cleaning and you know this. It is preposterous for you to maintain otherwise.

An 8gall machine will waste more water on house wash than a 4gal machine will bypass on the same house…by a pretty good measure. Typically, a machine does not sit in bypass mode a lot during a job. As for flooding a yard with a 4gal machine in bypass…that is a bunch of bunk…and you now that. It is just your insistence on being right that won’t allow you to admit that.

You are just wrong on this. You opinion is yours but it is stupid. Arguing with me won’t make you right but feel free to do what makes you happy. I’m content being correct so I’m going to stop arguing with you about it. Floor is yours to do whatever makes you feel better.
