Burner orientation on Pressure Pro skid

Infinity is right no fittings. One continuous hose from injector to bottom of tank. I use 1/2 pvc pipe with a notch cut out of the bottom and I slide the 1/4 hose inside of it .

If I might ask why are you useing a 3-5 gpm ds injector on a 8 gpm machine?? I am about to upgrade to a 8 gpm my self… just wondering so I will know what I need to get when I upgrade

it Increases the draw rate. The down side is that you have to physically shut off the soap valve bc your jrod will pull soap with all four tips.

So why not use a 5-8 gpm ds injector? I would hate to have to walk back to the truck every time to turn soap off

It’s certainly optional. Downsizing it will get you a hotter house wash. Some of us have to walk back any way because we use the m5. Some of us have a remote soap switch. It’s just a preference of what does it or doesn’t work for you. I like having the hotter mix. Less dwell time.

If you are working in a hot environment you don’t have 7 minutes to wait.

Btw, my remote selenoid went out after three days of use. :man_facepalming:

I run a 5.5 gpm machine with a 5-8 ds injector seems to work good for me just using the J rod I ds 3 gal sh to 2 gal h20… so The way I was reading it sound like if I upgrade to a 8 gpm machine my house wash mix ratio might be to weak now…

I’m still very new to the 8gpm so I won’t speak of the details. I’m still learning them. I’m sure someone else will chime in.

Yeah I was reading the post talking about the k7 unloader … the machine i am about to order has the k7 on a unloader block… been reading a lot of mix reviews on the k7

I had some problems upon delivery. But now that I’ve(with the help of several) sorted them out I love it. I relate it to shooting a gun. 12 gauge vs 9mm. It’s just less recoil. If that’s something that sounds appealing to you then you should go for it.

I run suds sucker with the number four orfice which is 2.3 . I run 275 ft of hose get 14/1 around 0.85 hitting surface drawing 12.5 sh and still getting 8 gpm to rinse . Like the 2.3 over the 2.1 more gpm and 0.85 is plenty strong enough .

Use a three-way stainless ball valve so when I’m not drawing sh I am drawing water and it gives me more gpm and cleans out injector. Don’t use the poly three way they won’t last.

Where do you get your 3 way stainless ball valves from?

Amazon

Grainger or Amazon think they around 40 bucks last ones I bought. The brass three-way pressure Tek sells works good to and half the price. They last a long time. The plastic ones are a waste of money they don’t last!! Probably go thru a many a plastic by the time u wear one of those out and the time spent changing them out.JMO

A manual three-way valve? Are you using it with a proportioner or a chem tank?

Manual hooked to chemical tank and buffer tank. So when I’m not drawing sh I’m drawing water cleanin out injector and it gives me more gpm when rinsing.

Harold have you been happy with ur washer?? Seen u had a fuel tank problem but other than that any regrets? Are u liking the K7 or would u rather go back to a pressure trapped unloader? Looks like u have been doing great with ur business congrats :+1:

I’m happy with the machine for my uses. There’s only two things that should be noted. The tank issue. I would hope that was a fluke and has been addressed by now. Other brands such as Landa and hydro tech have more heating coils and have more heat rise. I have found that the water on the pressure pro gets plenty hot enough for my uses. If you require more heat spend the extra money for a Hydrotek or Landa.

I love the k7. Every time I use my other 5gpm machine I appreciate the k7. Ive gotten used to it now, I don’t think I’ll ever go back. A had the k7 installed by the vendor. Apparently they didn’t test or set it. Possibly for shipping reasons. I ended up have to set it myself. I also had to undersize the orifice on the k7 to introduce more restriction. Without it the whole trailer was shaking when letting off the trigger.

I’ve been blessed this year. Better then anything I ever expected. I would still be running in circles without many members of this forum and the archives of information. Looking forward to 2019

Other then the issues noted I’ve been happy with the pressure pro.

Ya the K7 has a piston instead of a check value like the other unloaders that work kinda like ur injector. If u have ever noticed a piston trash pump how the discharge hose goes from full to flat as the piston is going up and down. That’s what causes it. Think if I ever order another new one I’m going to get one with a generator. But still have the burner work off of 12 volt and put a clutch on the generator so I can turn it on when I need it. And it won’t be using horsepower when not being used.
