What would this be exactly? And are you talking about a wye as in a pvc plumbing fittings?

Like you know a regular plumbing manifold? They make them out of polypropylene or brass or whatever material. Obviously brass is not a good choice for us. And for the double Y, yes like PVC or poly propylene, can get barb fittings for slip on. Basically, what’s the disadvantage to going that cheaper route, there has to be some performance gain using a metal manifold? But what is the gain exactly?

Or better yet, run the double Y and just put some three-quarter inch nipples on and your metering valves right on top of that so there’s no hose in between metering valves and the double Y. Do you see a big disadvantage here as opposed to another way?

In short cheaper routes have many more leak points and no elegant way of properly mounting it so it won’t form any leaks. Everything is spec’d on the Blend Station blend manifold to give you the biggest bang for your buck. When I set out creating it I didn’t take shortcuts. It’s a professional product! There was a reason I decided on each and every detail. You can do it cheaper sure, but you won’t have any support from me! Please feel free to ask why I decided on this or that pertaining to my build. I’m not helping you design and engineer something that looks like poop and acts like it as well.

@CleanWNC There’s also some good info here for you Andy.

A bit touchy! Yikes! I wasn’t asking you for help on a build not using your product, I just figured you’d like to nerd out a little and contribute more to this thread. Take it easy, buddy! 😜

I’m not bothered trust me! Seriously though, I’d like to help but I kind of already have. I’m still in the red about 12k on that project alone. Sadly I can’t bleed anymore over it. I hope you get what I’m saying. There’s very little profit for the amount of work it takes to do it right.

You do have me thinking about all the effort I put into them and how little I receive in return. I tear each valve down when they come in and inspect them. I then carefully set the preload on the ball to form a matched set and lube each of the 8 o-rings in the union connectors. Why, because exporting my own raw resin for injection molding them wasn’t enough. I’m competing with others that shouldn’t be in the race.
