Building a trailer - Filling in the blanks

Hey PWR Community, Dave here, I’m part owner of a new power washing company in the Greater Philadelphia Area. We are ready to build our trailer and I’m putting together a comprehensive list of parts I need to be able to finish the build. I can’t seem to find a COMPLETE list of components. I’ll list what I got, perhaps I can get some responses for what I will need additionally?

trailer
325 gal tank
pressure washer
pressure hose reel
garden hose reel
surface cleaner
30 gal chem tank x2
12 volt pump
pressure hose
garden hose
water filter for buffer to washer

I think I am missing essential parts for softwashing roofs and siding.

Your buffer tank will be determined on the size of your pw

I see. What is the ideal ratio? We will be purchasing a 4gpm machine with 4200PSI.

I’m really interested in the little items I am missing for a complete build. The goal is to order everything at once and when it all arrives, have EVERYTHING in order to build the trailer.

For a 4 gpm you dont need a buffer tank, most homes and city will give you arrond 5gpm.
If you are going to spent money and think of growing as you work then invest on a trailer, pw, …and then go down the list.
No matter what size trailer you buy, you will always ran out of space

We would like to have the buffer tank initially even if it isn’t necessary as we would like to add a stronger machine in the future.

Then add it to begin with.

That’s not possible.

I am still ordering parts and I started in December. Freezing temps knocked out a lot of build time.
Make a paper list of EVERY plumbing size and part you need, (elbows, bulkheads, filters, pvc, reducing bushings, mpt/fpt, etc etc) I found out the hard way this can’t be done in your head. Lay the equipment on your trailer and measure stuff and always add a little extra for bends and vertical stacking, etc.
You will never have enough fittings or the right orientation (male/female) so sign up for an account on a good pressure supply vendor website. You will be on there more time than you think.

I get what your saying and I was in the same boat the first time I put a trailer together. Now I have multiples of everything. Never but a nut and bolt. But a box of everything you think you will only need once.

If you think you’ll need one, buy three. Or better yet, 20.

Budget for the little things.
I didn’t and was shocked to learn that all that little stuff costs more than the big stuff!
