Buffer Tank automatic shutoff valve?

Has anyone installed a float shutoff valve in their buffer tanks? It would be nice to be able to keep working and not have one eye on the buffer tank level. If you have, could you explain what you installed (make, model)?
Thanks in advance!

I believe Hudson Float Valve is one of the most widely used and recommended here. Some do recommend buying two in case one fails. About $35 per valve plus $15 installation kit.

Yep hudson.
But i cant seem to get it to work

Thanks for the info, I’ll track one down and try it.

Why??

Mine works just fine. Got it at Tractor Supply.

No idea, i gave up after 3.
Honestly i dont need it

Okay. was it a Hudson

Yes all 3…
I know… sounds ridiculous…

You must be installing something wrong. You might not need it, but it is really beneficial to not have to check your tank while on the job.

Believe me tried everything.
I have a manifold for water and double feed my tank.
So pressure is not an issue.
Anyways…
In and out in about an hour on a 2500sqf home.
