Blog ideas... or not

So I gotta make a blog for the website and I wanted to know what ideas you guys had I’ve looked at several different pressure washer blogs I’m pretty sure if you have one i checked it out but i wanted to start with 5 different posts 1 being a post of a promotional event of some sort the others I was probably just gonna do like “how to pressure wash your home” and “the professional way to clean your driveway” also “Rust & oil stains” anyway I have no question here but all comments are welcomed and totally could care less if this turns into a way off topic post lol

Why would you make a blog about how to pressure wash your home as a homeowner. The point of your business is to do the washing for them not tell them how to do it themselves

Is this SEO related? Those guys live and die on blogs and backlinks, stresses me out.

Most of the customers we have have there own equipment but are getting old and cant work outside or dont have the time to work outside and they usually have more money to spend so we are really trying to market to them and dont expect them to go through our blog let alone apply the information so we are mainly using for the seo so we can get more traffic to our website

Yes it is for seo. What do you mean by those guys live and die on blogs?

Dude, ya gotta start using commas and periods! You’ll probably even get more replies; it’s exhausting trying to read those paragraph-long sentences.

The “SEO ninjas” out there, they swear up and down you have to have blogs, be a guest blogger, etc… I’m sure it helps a ton, but I don’t think I want to spend the time writing blogs.

I swear this all started with people who were born after cellphones came out. They’ve basically been texting their whole life and didn’t feel the need to take keyboarding class. The only time you have to punctuate is during finals, right? They speed type so don’t worry about punctuation. It then carries over whether or not they’re on their phone or computer.

It definitely does seem to happen more from the younger generations. I’m far from being the grammar police, but dang it’s hard to read those rambling sentences. I know that language is fluid, and changes all the time. But what ever happened to slowing down and doing things with purpose?

Sorry, yes my grammar is horrible and yes its something I need to work on. I just lose my train of thought when i start to think about were my periods and commas go. I do agree that the educational system is a joke though, But that’s because the schools go by the “no child left behind” method. Public schools get paid based on how many students graduate. Majority of my schooling was either watch a video and fill in the blank, Or read a book and fill in the blank. I mean my senior year english finals were literally a series of fill in the blank questions from the text book, with the page number where to find the answer next to the question. Anyways since September is are slowest time of the year, we usually update are marketing and advertising campaigns. I’ve heard that blogs can increase the traffic to your webpage, and it seems that all the big name pressure washers in are area have them. So I figured I would give it a try, we have already optimized our google ads campaign to 100% according to google. We put about $500 a month into the ad campaigns. We have 23 reviews on our gmb all 5 stars, But we want to expand more and grow more. We have already bought our equipment for a second rig and hired 4 employees. I believe a blog will increase are web traffic and deliver us more clientele. But I wanted to know if any of you have tried this, and if so what happened? What did you blog about? And what would you stay away from if you could do it over again?

I’m from Houston

Better?

@Ccjack156 Yes, by far! Thank you, that was much easier to read. Now I wish I had anything to offer back, it sounds like you’re already on the right path. I don’t know anyone blogging about it, but I know some guys put tons of videos on their YouTube, almost weekly. They seem to have more luck and more hits when the subject matter is intended for other pressure washers though, NOT the homeowners. You could review every single piece of your equipment with what you like and dislike, a different piece for every video. They don’t have to be long. Seems like the guys that do that are always at the top of the first page in my area

I was messing with @MuscleMyHustle I’m southern myself. Mobile, AL.

I grew up 45 minutes north, in Atmore Al

Cool. I’ve just passed through there never really been to it. I know they got wind creek casino.

Yeah that happened like a decade after I left! It’s a quiet little town, nothing much happens there
