Bigger fitting?

Okay, so I’m waiting for my Pressure Pro 4/4 belt drive with a GP pump. The buffer tank I got at TSC has a 3/4 Female NPT in the Bulkhead fitting that came with the tank. Is 3/4 big enough or should I get a new bulkhead fitting with a 1" NPT. The #/4 just looks really small.

This should give you plenty of flow for a 4/4 machine:

(I’m sure it can be found cheaper from other suppliers)

Thanks for the quick reply. I’m coming out of the tank with a 90 to a strainer then on to the pump

Plenty. Heck I draw off my leg tank with a direct drive Cat and 3/4" fitting, flows pretty close to 7gpm when full.

Thanks guys. What type of filter do you run coming out of the tank?

I like the banjo y-strainers, but I’ve never tried anything else. I wouldn’t go any smaller than 1” plumbing for whichever strainer you select.

Swap to this?

Sounds good. I appreciate your help.

I slow spin 5.5 gpm pumps and feed them with 5/8" hose. This whole thing about running 1" hose for lil pumps is silly.
