Best mix ratios for 12.5% NaClO for siding and roofing?

Hey guys. So i currently use just the 1 gal jugs of bleach from Wal-Mart, which can work, but as we all know 12.5% is pretty awesome so i went out and was able to find myself a 30 gal drum for a pretty good price! What are some good mixing ratios for this stuff for a house wash and roof wash mix? I use gain ultra as a surfactant which works well for me. In the Midwest where I mostly deal with black mold on roofs, and light to medium algae on siding. Thanks!

Most seem to use around 1% for house mix and about 3% for roof.

Thanks! And what about the surfactant (gain)?

Thanks for the criticism but I am actually looking for help instead. I am driving and typing so it’s kind of difficult

I always try to search before I ask, but my specific question doesn’t always necessarily come up I am getting mixed discussions that are not necessarily answering my question so I would rather ask specifically for my situation. Would everyone rather criticize or does no one have an opinion or answer?

I don’t see any criticism here, you got a legit answer on the first response. As far as the Gain… how much have you been using? Not many, if any, of the people here are using Gain… so you probably won’t find the answer you are looking for here. That would be a good question to look up on RCIA or Facebook.

Your first question was what mix ration should you use on a house. Mix ratios is probably the most discussed thing on this forum. The truth is, there is no set house wash ratio, what works for me may not work for you. Some guys like a hotter mix so it cleans faster, while others rather apply twice. Anytime someone gives you a ratio consider it a starting point. Try the ration and see if it works to your liking.

And the first response from marinegrunt is literally the answer you seek. From what i know he’s a new guy here and has been able to find all the answer with just searching.

Second question is “what about the surfactant (gain)?” Not many of us here use gain, we use professional grade soaps/surfactants. Everybody has their favorite, and different ones work better for different jobs, so it really just depends.

You still only have 2hr of read time (while log in) currently on this forum, keeping searching/reading.

I felt gain was cheaper but after breaking it down its not cheaper than elemonator or cling on even after shipping costs. Roof snot seems to be a little more expensive though. If not gain, will cling and elemonator both work for siding and roofs? Gain has worked pretty well for me thus far, seemed affordable and decent. I have not run into a house so dirty i needed anything else as a surfactant. I typically mix 16-21ozs per 30 gallons. But looking further what so you guys think?
