Best machine

Which machines do you think are the best for the money? I like Northstar because they’re cheap (easily replaceable) and easy to fix. I’ve heard good things about Hydro Tek and Alkota too. I’m looking at possibly setting up a couple of new additions to my fleet and am debating whether to continue to do trailer mounts or getting a work van and having it enclosed inside for security and weather purposes. Any thoughts or ideas?

When the livelihood of my business depends on the equipment we use…“Cheap & Easy to fix” in no way factors in to our decision to purchase.

That being said, I would not consider buying equipment from Northern…Ever.

If you live in the Northern part of the Country, and enclosed set-up would be ideal.

I have never heard good things about Northstars…it’s like what they say…you get what you pay for…we run 8gpm Pressure Pros…between the 2 we have there are over 3000 hours and other that routine maintenance stuff, no problems

Well said! Tim4 once said to me in a post “don’t confuse the act of not spending money with saving money”. After you buy the $500.00 machine 6 times, you would have saved money by buying the $2000.00 machine once!

Plus, if a guy shows up with a Northstar or other cheap-o any discerning homeowner should be in full-on red flag mode…NOT good for business.
