Best benefit to joining the PWRA?

Looking at joining the PWRA. For those that are members what is the biggest benefit?

Thanks

Not sure if you can still join, I thought they closed it to focus on the existing members.

But probably the free documents (found at the WCRA), which I haven’t used that much yet.

I think they opened up registrations again.

I joined partly because i wanted to support the forum, and get the cool logo to use.

Biggest reason I joined was to get access to the business documents. They have a ton of them, but the ones i looked at were really basic. Plus you cant easily view them… you have to add the file to the cart and go through the checkout process for each file… only after completing it can you view them, which is pretty tedious. Plus, like i said, a lot were pretty basic, so i sort of stopped looking at the rest of the benefits.

Your comment prompted me to go back and take a look at the other stuff. There are quite a few industry specific doorhangers/postcard/flyer templates that look pretty good. Business card selection is not that great, but the rest of the marketing materials look useful. I need some yard signs and a couple that they have look great.

Not really sure how that goes… i guess you just download the template for free, change it to how you want it, and then have a sign company print them.

I think there is a free book that comes with it, that @squidskc recommends, but i cant find where the download link is. Ok, i found a link but it’s $10 so maybe it’s not free, but at a discount or something.

There are supposed to be webinars, but i cant find them. Also discounts, but i cant find a list of what the discounts are.

There is a printing service that is supposed to be cheaper than others, but i haven’t compared the prices.

Some info for you. I think you can view the marketing material if you aren’t a member, but not the business documents.

I agree the website there needs alot of work its very confusing to navigate through the perks.

Are you referring to the Marketing guide for window cleaning? If so it was a free e download for limited time and the book it self was free but you paid $10 for shipping.

I researched the printing service and its not the best price you can find local companies that will match or beat it.

HI everyone!

So first off let me say we agree it is a little confusing and we are working to rectify that with a new members site we are building. I strongly suggest you give me a call if you want a run through of everything, how to access it or where it is located on the website. I also wanted to pass along some links that may be helpful to members.

Here are the industry discounts we offer: https://shopwindowcleaningresource.com/association/members/discounts.html
*If you are a member and interested in a discount (or multiple ones!) just send me an email and I’d be happy to get you set up with the promo codes or info you need!). My email is jessica@pressurewashingresource.com

All of the downloadable membership material is located under the Busines Services section of thhis website: https://shopwindowcleaningresource.com/
*You can click on any product, add it to your cart, check out and access it through My Downloadable Products

Our annual convention, hosted by the WCRA/PWRA: https://thehugeconvention.com/

At Cost Printing Site - Discounted Printing for members: http://store.atcostprinting.com/

The Marketing Book someone mentioned is free, you just have to pay a small shipping free of $9.99: https://windowcleaner.com/free-book
*It can apply to pressure washers as well

As far as the best benefit it really depends on what you are looking to take advantage of. It’s different for everyone. Some people just get their sign up fee back with one or two discounts - the insurance discount and a web design discount are jsut two example but can save someone a ton of money. Other people like it for the supply discount. Others mainly use it for the Direct Mail printing discount. There are lots of possibilities.

Jessica is super helpful. I bugged her a bunch via phone call and the chat box via the site.

The good news is that even though the website is confusing… the phone still works.

Oh… and the marketing book is golddddd. $10… c’mon man. I knew people in finance renting a Nick Murray book for $50 because they didn’t want to pay the hundreds it cost at the time. Jack wagons.
