Any Ideas on How to Remove This Adhesive?

It is leftover from the old letters/sign.

I haven’t tried anything, yet.

I’d like to know too. If I could get that off on dryvit/EIFS shopping centers I could turn it into a gold mine.

Heat gun and soad blast probably take half a bag

Just a guess but id say hot water and d limonene

I didn’t zoom in on the original picture. That looks like adhesive.

When they pull down signs over strip malls and replace them with different ones there’s usually holes left where anchors were and filled with silicone. They always turn grey over time and the sign usually leaves a shadow.

If there was a way to clean all of that DSing or “softwashing” I’d pay good money for it.

Will do! Thank you!

Gold Mine for sure wish we had more around here done two jobs like that and they payed good and it’s something different than the same ole

I know this is an old post, being as that my primary business is an electrical sign company owner for 17 years I can answer it. Yes it’s generally silicone from where the hole for the led wire, or neon conduit in this case with the bigger holes was. When I remove a sign we used to scrape it off with a putty knife but it was painfully slow. Best way I found is to use an oscillating tool with the scraper attachment. It will remove 95% of it. Then could probably just use the turbo nozzle or whatever else you have up your sleeve. I always just painted after but I know for this industry that’s not practical.
