Any advice on this job would be helpful

Apologies for posting a new topic as I know all answers can be found in the all knowing magnifying glass. New guy to the industry and have spent countless hours on here and youtube.

However I was on a job today (in Tennessee) and took a 7 minute video before just for my own record. I thought it would be cool to hear from some seasoned vets on best practices for this type of job. It is an old house with a worn deck right up against some neat nature and pretty tough to access.

  1. With the insulation up against the lattice, the algae would only come off in the openings even though I rinsed it from three different angles (leaving spots and lattice pattern algae. I’m hoping the SH will clean the rest in time). Any advice on how to wash that?

  2. Hypothetically if I charge $250 for a two story house, how much more should I charge for the deck and the tough access on the bottom? I had already established a fairly good relationship with the owner and felt I could charge as much as I wanted with the appropriate explanation. I slipped multiple times and felt I was too close and was using too much pressure even with my rinse tip. What would you charge? Would you even take the job?

  3. I decided to soft wash the deck, the algae and dirt came off with a little bit of pressure but I could quickly tell the paint was chipping more with it. I let the owner know what to expect beforehand but I was wondering if I should have done something different than my standard house wash mix with minimal pressure.

  4. Any other thoughts or constructive criticism would be appreciated. Photos below are from my spot test before starting.
