Accidentally bought a 6x10 enclosed trailer

Was browsing Facebook buy sell trade up here in Alaska and found a 2008 6x10 enclosed trailer for $1750. The ad had been out up about 8 minutes earlier. Was at his house literally 7 minutes after that and while I’m looking at it his phone is absolutely blowing up with people wanting to buy the thing.

Figured I can see if I can make it work for what I have and worse comes to worse re sell.

First things first I’m going to need to vacuum it out and hit it with some killz.

Single axle but it’s a 2.375 axle so it should be good for what I want it to do, especially since I cannot source a 275 tote for less than 2200$ up here so…55 gallon batch mixes it is…

I’m clearing out some garage space though and won’t have to add/remove all my stuff while I work my regular job because of sticky fingers and it raining 300 days a year here.

Why was he trying to put his family of 5 in it?

They must be pretty fat not to fit in it

I told him he needs to cut them up into pieces. Hell fit more in there. He wasnt amused. :joy:

That should be perfect for you.

You wrong for that:joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:

Just fired my new build up today after getting all the plumbing done. Still working out a few kinks. I am very pleased how mine is going. Make sure to put that 55 over one of those cross beams with the decreased axle capacity and what looks like 24" supports underneath. I used Herculiner off of Amazon and used 2 gallons to waterproof the floor and 18" up the sides. Proved it’s worth today while going over all my connections. Very pleased with it. Good luck with the build!!

My plan so far is to hit the trailer with kilz on floor and walls, then do raptor liner on floor running up a foot or so bathtub style.

I have a general idea of what i want to do and putting it here. obviously its not to scale but this is a general outline of what i intend to do .

Im wondering if i can mount my cox reels on the wall next to the tank. I also may have to put battery on the right side for weight distribution. Ill have to see how that shakes out.

Ill probably put some more E track (thanks @Racer ) along the barn doors to be able to hold stuff like the guns and surface cleaners. Small work bench would have maybe a vice and tools/replacement parts for while underway.

Attaching those reels to the side would definitely be clutch for me if possible and i just so happen to have some 3/4 plywood that would beef up the walls where they are at. that way i can throw garden hose reel underneath the two and have everything going out that side door.

Its been absolutely pissing rain and disgusting up here in the great white north today so havent be bopped around in the trailer too much today but ill start putting things in there and seeing how it will all fit and keep you updated.

If you see any glaring issues i know i dont have to ask, but feel free to roast me and tell me the smarter way to do it because i am a simple man

Personally, I’d hate having to get up in the trailer to pull hoses off the reels, but I always hit my head when I go in a trailer… :joy:

I can stand up in this one. I’m 6ft. I’ve thought about putting it right in front of the door and it would be a lot cooler if I could stack three reels. Maybe I can get my buddy to weld me some stands or something but right now I’m a bit tapped out financially until I get a more work. I’ve put about 9 grand into equipment and only done a few jobs so I’m probably -7500 so far. This year the plan is to at least break even.

You’re not gonna like the hoses coming out the side door when you have to run them around the left side. Stack them in the back.

The SH tank needs to go somewhere, I have mine opposite the water tank for balance.

SH tank is an interesting situation. up here, i would need to spend 2200$ on a 275 gallon tote or 475$ shipped for a 53 gallon.

I might in the future do that, but id have to have a heck of a lot more business than what i do currently for it to be viable which is why ive just been batch mixing with the strongest stuff i have available locally…7.5% at 6$ a gallon. Its a real pain in the butt.
