164,000 sqaure ft parking garage

So I’m the worst at spacial awareness when it comes to how many square feet something is so im trying to get an estimate of

  1. How big that really is
and 2. how much to charge

It’s roughly 164,000 sq ft. I’d charge a fair price.

Whats a good number though? in the ballpark of what?

7 give or take. I’ve always liked the number 7. Not because it’s lucky, just liked the way it rolls off the tongue.

@AlexMiller If you want a serious answer, give some details, pics, research here for 20 hours or so, tell us about your equipment, reclaim etc.

2-1/2 Tractors with trailers parked end to end gives you about 200’. 200’ x 200’ = 40,000 sq. ft. so imagine four levels the same measurements

160,000 x 0.01 equals enough fuel for the week

He will have to multiply that visual by 20 to get 40,000

Tractor/trailer is about 10’ wide. So, 2.5 tractor/trailers parked end to end would be
10’ x 200= 2000sq ft.approx

For the sake of numbers I just bid one at 188k sq ft for $28k and was told that was just barely enough, but could’ve gotten more by someone who has done garages. That’s 4 machines. Renting a Tennant sweeper, and no oil. Just dust and dirt.

Oh and that assuming 6 days worse case scenario best case 4.5.

But Will is right. Details help.

I just got more information on the job. They say we’ll need to supply our own water, have a water retrieval system, and we,ll need to clean some kind of pipes on the ceilings.
I run a small business I’m looking to expand so at the moment I just have a few 4 gpm washers.
no pictures at the time being.

Run away. Or call in help. We were going to split the garage with another contractor in the area.

No, I meant 2-1/2 tractor and trailer x 2-1/2 tractor and trailer

Enough searching will find my answer

That’s not a huge one, just under 4 acres but you’re going to need to spend a lot of money on equipment. I’d refer to someone who does in your area and see if you could work with them. But I’d be willing to bet the winning quote will be under $15k unless you’re in the middle of nowhere.

Bring your own water???
How many stories tall is it? you’d need quite a few tanks on a trailer and a big enough truck to pull it. That’s a lot of fill time also.

Man, just the logistics of this job are a nightmare.

Who’s this job for? A contractor or a property management company? The latter can get tricky because of their insurance requirements, I had to join Code Compliance also, but that’s for another thread.

Just calculate it right, have a plan of action, bid high, if you get it good, if you don’t, good.

Pricing depends on where you are, up north cleaners can charge more than us folks in Florida.
But some guys charge less per sq ft if it involves more sq fotage, .10 - .7 /sq ft.
