My name is Mike Holland. I'm located in Dothan AL. I'm a Army Veteran, retired telephone repairman, and now a burnt out computer repair and network technician. I've had enough of the inside desk work and ready to go back outside and work again. So, I started looking for something that would allow me to be outside and still have an opportunity to deal with customers on a personal basis again. I had worked part time for a relative in and around Pensacola after getting out of the military while attending college doing surface cleaning and repainting of parking lot stripes. I liked the fact that I was outside, and enjoyed this type of work.
I then decided pressure washing would get me back outside and with all the contacts from working with the phone company, I already had good customer base to work from. I started looking into everything about pressure washing. Several months later I found a turn key pressure washing setup and bought it last week. I am setup with an enclosed 14' trailer, 350gal water tank, 35gal chem tank, and a 5.6gpm hot water pressure washer(42hrs on the unit) with 500' of hose, surface cleaner, extension poles, a huge assortment of wands and guns, and roughly 100gal of different cleaners/surfactants. I'm hoping my s-corp will be finalized by the middle of next week and my tax id and business licenses are purchased by weeks end. All of my business cards and web site will be completed when I get my business license, insurance, and tax id in hand. I'm still shopping for insurance though. I keep getting conflicting info from my accountant and my personal insurance lady on what kind of insurance I should obtain. Other than that, all of the equipment is ready, I've gone ahead and replaced all of the quick connects, replaced the hose reel, and have seviced the equipment. I'll be getting my trailer lettered with new logo and info this week for cost of vinyl(thanks to my friend and MOPAR buddy Jeff) Logo was sketched by me and another friend who is better able to do graphics is handling the design on the computer. This is probably the most excited I've been about anything since coming home from deployment years ago. About the web site, I'm looking to use square space. they seem to have a lot of really nice templates that flow nicely. So literally, it's time to get my feet wet and start down a new path with high hefty goals. RTR
