can’t make out the pic bit if that is a nozzle the X is a stream straightener. I pull them out as I think they are a water restriction. Maybe they aren’t but I’m peculiar.

Those were in the 2502 nozzles that came with my surface cleaner. I asked Bob at Pressure Tek & he said “the cross insert is to diffuse the water as it passes through. Some nozzles come with them & some don’t. I don’t feel they make a difference”.

Interesting. I just ordered new surface cleaner nozzles from Bob yesterday and I’m curious to see if they come with those.
It’s called Vane, for straightening the flow in the nozzle, yes, like a diffuser to reduce turbulence.
