Travertine Tile Restoration: Hard Water Stain Restoration

Here is a job we did a few weeks ago. This customer had many years of calcium/hard water stain accumulation on his outdoor pool deck travertine. We were actually called out for a rust removal job he had gotten off our Front 9 site, front9restoration.com.

When we arrived he had terrible rust stains on his driveway, which we had cleaned. I overheard his wife asking him if we could do something for his travertine and he replied to her, “Well, we had two stone guys come out and they couldn’t do much. Craig is a concrete guy, so this isn’t what he does.”

Shortly thereafter, he and his wife went for a walk. Seizing the opportunity I peeked around the corner to see what they were talking about. I tried our F9 Efflorescence and Calcium Remover (which is what I use for most eff/hard water stain issues) and with a couple of applications it came out beautifully.

When the homeowners came back from their walk I showed them my demo. He signed us immediately for 6,000’.

Looks great Craig! Is that product available to buy yet?

Thanks Mike. Not yet, but soon. Probably in a month. I’ll let everyone know as soon as it’s on the shelf.
