Surface Cleaner Nozzles

I’ve searched the other threads regarding SC nozzles, and I’m still a bit unclear on a thing or two. I’ve checked the PressureTek nozzle chart, and it looks like I need #3.5s for my SC as I’m running a 5.5 gpm, 2500 psi unit. My SC came with 2502 tips, which would put the theoretical psi at 2250 per nozzle according to the chart unless I’m getting something wrong. Obviously, a 2500 psi machine isn’t going to produce that. My question is would running the #2 tips be bad for my machine? I read that using nozzles too small could be potentially damaging.

Forgive the dumb question. When I surface cleaned before, boss man just said, “Clean that concrete,” and that’s what I did. lol I didn’t know much else about the tips involved with the cleaner itself.
