Do you try to save this…or just replace the entire floor and hand rail? I wouldn’t want to charge unnecessarily to replace.
Replace. The cost of a full restoration won’t be worth it with wood that far gone.
I agree. That horizontal wood is too far gone to waste $ on prepping and staining. Not too bad as the vertical wood appears OK. Assuming the undercarriage is sound, a re-skin with P/T wood is not too difficult or costly.
