Neutralizing roof wash runoff

I remember reading somewhere about some powder that you can put down at the outlet of the downspout extensions, so the runoff from the first rain after a roof cleaning is neutralized and doesn’t kill the grass. Anybody know what it is? I had some grass get browned pretty good recently, even though I flushed out the gutters, cause we had a light rain…not enough to really neutralize anything.

Better yet don’t use caustic soaps to clean the roof.

Yes…gypsum pellets…that’s what it was. I found some at my local Thiesens and good thing too…one of my guys had an xjet bucket crack on the bottom today and sit in the yard for about 10 minutes.
