Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning - Horizontal Ducts

We have a new client that has a system with a horizontal duct that contains 4-6 inches of grease buildup. From the plenum it runs 4 ft. horizontal , turns 90 degrees and runs about 10-12 ft where it goes vertical to termination at the fan. There is a small access panel at the 90 and another where it turns vertical. The access panels are so small that you can’t fit a wide scraper (or shovel) in and out. If anyone can provide some advice or suggestions as to what would be the best way to remove the grease buildup I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance for your help!

You need to put more access panels that are bigger.

I run a foot pedal with a spinner unit. I can go past the 90 to the end of the duct work at the hood. Run the spinner to the end before dispensing water and mark the hose so you don’t go to far while cleaning, keep working it back and forth tell it’s clean.
