I am looking to hire. I’ve had guys work for me in the past but I need a full time guy. Question;

  1. Do you guys pay per truck or per hr?
  2. Are you getting your guys 40hrs?
  3. Do you 1099?

I think it all depends on how much work you have (I do lawn care) But I 1099 my helpers that I know are going to work with me for awhile. (I can usually tell who is going to stick around and who isn’t after the first few weeks.)

I usually pay them half day or whole day set rates.

Careful on the 1099…Check your State Regs.
