Can someone please help me with a price quote?

I have a job through a property management company that I’ve been asked to give a bid on … I have done plenty of residential jobs like homes / driveways / sidewalks / gutters / soffit / fascia etc… They want a price to clean all of the street gutters throughout the entire association … I have the equipment to do it … just have no idea what to charge … there are approximately 700 street gutters…

Can anyone help ?

I would measure it out by linear feet. Guesstimate how long the job will take you and divide it by the linear feet to arrive at a linear foot price. Maybe add 10% as a cushion, if you like.

I’ve never done street gutters before at all … I don’t know what to charge per foot … should it be bid out like sidewalk ?

Well, that’s a loaded question. There are different sizes of curbs and gutters… You could measure the top of the curb, the side of the curb, and then the flat part of the gutter to where it meats the pavement. That would be your “width”. Then measure how many linear feet of curb + gutter you have to clean and that would be your “length”. L x W = square footage. Then you could charge your normal square footage price, plus a little extra because the vertical part of the curb will mean a little more work versus simply pushing a surface cleaner on sidewalks.

You’ll also need to account for water access. Sometimes on these jobs water is hard to come by, so you would need to charge accordingly.
