Back problems suck!

So on February 28th I was working at one of my limestone quarries that I manage and was injured. We sold this particular quarry so I was removing all of the IT related equipment from it. I was attempting to put a fairly large and heavy last printer into the bed of my truck and was extended out over the tailgate trying to lift the printer over the void between the tailgate and the bed when I heard and felt a loud pop in my back coupled with immense pain. The VP instructed me to go straight to the occupational health clinic for treatment and a drug test. I’ve been off work ever since. I just left from my 1st appointment with a back specialist. He basically ordered an MRI gave me pain and muscle reaxers. He told me I’ll be off work for at last 8-12 weeks at the minimum.
This exact same thing happened to me 3 years ago on the job as well.
Good thing I’ve got my 19 year old son and my wife to handle the power washing duties. I still go to ever site but can’t do much. This sucks!

Sorry to hear, I hope you have a speedy recovery!

Thanks Brett!

I can relate. Bending over putting gas in the washer last August. Felt like lightning hit my lower left back. Took me to my knees. Finished the job came home in agony. Pain radiated down front of thigh to inside of my knee. Best description is shards of glass in my thigh. After a night of no sleep despite 2 or 3 shots of booze and some muscle relaxers no relief. Second night same thing so about 4 AM laid on the floor. Woke up to my 100lb lab standing on me. When I got up the whole front of my thigh was numb like it was asleep. 1 Dr, 1 Therapist and a chiropractor and still numb. Bought a TENS machine didn’t help. Still numb today. Inversion table has helped me in the past.

I’m sorry to hear that bub. It’s a terrible thing to go through. I’ve had tbis happened in the past and have went through epidurals, trigger ooint injections, and every thing else. The best relief I’ve gotten is from an inversion table.

You sound about as beat up as I am! Lol

I just got finished a good size job 2 really big houses… I did 4 hours Monday and 9hrs did not stop yesterday… My lower back is killing me. I got home got in that shower and got that water HOT as it would go Now I’m a older guy 62 6’5" tall a big Ol boy. Never had sore back like that before…
Daughter is a PT at Vanderbilt she told me to do this and do that which don’t do nothing. …

Seems like a big club - Can I join???.. I broke a piece off the “superior endplate of L4” a couple of years ago. Nothing to be done - just rest and let it heal.

I did mine out here

about 2500km & 6 days from home (and only half of it was bitumen)
