1st roof to price

I went yesterday to price a house wash and roof cleaning. I think I’m Good on my prices but I wanted to run it by you guys to make sure. I was thinking $550 for the house and $675 for the roof. Also all the gutters have French drains so im
Not sure if that makes any difference.

If those numbers hit your profit margin…They’re good to go.

I don’t need to make $1200 a day. I’m just getting started and only doing this on the side with the hope to go full time with it. I don’t want to set myself up to fail by over or under charging.

Guessing on size but I’m maybe $650+ on house. Not less than $850.00 on roof.

If also be mindful of the french drains taking the runoff. I had one pipe i didn’t disconnect on a job and ended up leaving a nice brown streak in the grass. It grew back but make sure you flood those gutters and downspouts very well!!

$550 for the house? Nice! I’d be doing well to get $350 for that house in my area! That is, unless the decks are included in the price…are they?

I wasn’t including the decks. I don’t know enough about decks to try and dive into stripping one. I will probably just try and clean them up a little with low pressure and the house wash

I should have clarified, I wasn’t talking about stripping the decks, just washing them…Glad you’re able to get a fair price for that job…good for you!

Well I’ve got to give him the estimate still. But he said he wants it done. So we’ll see what happens

most of us here do do this full time as our only means of income and we do need to gross $1200/day to pay for business ins., business taxes, keep the roof over our heads and put food on our tables - go all in or stay out, stop taking money from my pocket when you dont need it!!!

Like Ive already stated. I plan to go full time with this. But like you I have a mortgage, taxes, insurance and I can’t just jump all in with the hope of enough work to pay all my bills. So I want to price jobs with the mindset of this being my full time carear. Sorry if that ****es you off.

Sounds like someone was having a bad day or maybe he’s just jokin. Anyhow the point of this forum is to help others out and learn ourselves. Whether just starting or not. I’ve been biz for a long time and if I needed 1200 a day to survive I’d definitely be doing something wrong with my expenses. Not everyone is in the same situation. Keep asking your questions.

He’s from NJ, what do you expect? Dude needs to buy some manors with that $1200 a day income!

I don’t know…manors are priced in the millions of dollars these days…property prices are through the roof!

You want to make your daily rate. However don’t forget your not always going to wash. In order for your business to grow you need to make room for hire. I use to price on just me. Now I am having to raise prices to make room. Sell your experience, training etc…

How is it going with your house washing add-on service?

I got into soft washing a couple years ago and been doing it with ladders and pump up sprayers. This year put together a basic 12V system and wow! what a difference. What took me 80 hours I can do in 30. I do complexes mostly.

I wish you the best.

wait a minute… how much? $1200? here in Miami people are charging $140 to clean your roof and $100 to clean your house. what the hell am I missing here? I had a guy come to my house with a dual axel trailer with liek 2 500 gallon tanks all the surface washer and soft wash set up… the whole nine yards, and he charged me $240 to clean my roof and my house walls… and he did an excellent job
