12v roof cleaning pumps

When I started using 12v pumps a while back, I read that they shouldn’t get wet or cold. This sounded a little crazy to me but being paranoid, I’ve gotten in the habit of never letting it get wet or stay out in Temps under 50 degrees. How much truth is there to this? Can these pumps get wet without damaging them? And can they stay outside as long as the Temps don’t dip below freezing?

Just don’t let freeze and it’ll be fine. They can get wet.

Are you familiar with air diaphragm setups? I’m really considering making the switch…
