Question about new pressure washer

I have returned a lot of items, also…never an offer of a refund and keep the item.

But, if it is on the level…more power to the OP.

@JimLuke Jimmy, look, I can confirm that Amazon will not take back a pressure washer on a return. They replaced my defective Simpson Mega Crap 325 and told me to keep the defective one. I now have 2 Mega Crap 325s in my garage, one that runs and one that doesn’t.

Take it apart. The engine is good and the tires can be used to replace the ones you blow out on a dolly not designed for the purpose of trying to move a 55 gallon drum of SH.

I heard from a friend.

No, it is the engine that failed 15 minutes in - there were fine shavings in the oil, and it ran out like water when I checked it. The pump is a good replacement for the existing pump on my good Mega Crap 325 (good being a relative term) and maybe Ill find something more sturdy to move my first 55 gal drum of SH so I won’t need those tires for that. No doubt that with my other two pressure washers those tires will come in handy.

Hey Guys… New to the forum thanks for having me! Back on topic I had that FNA AAA triplex start to fail on my GX390 powered Simpson (labeled as DeWalt) after about 30 hrs! And I was hooked to a 16 gpm well and had the unloader correctly set.

Was stuck between a EZ 4040 or a RRV4G40 pump and ordered the AR plumbed with an external unloader…Just a homeowner with a long driveway so no Udor or TS2021 needed.

Glad to be here…overwhelmed with all the Surface Cleaner info…Not wanting to spend over 300 so I think I will end up with a BE 20" Whirlaway/Viper…etc …just to cut the 8 hours it takes to do my 175’ driveway…Anyone had luck with these low end polymer SCs and whether to step down to a 16" vs a 20" Whirlaway …BTW…Cosidering Mi-T-M as well…

Thanks for your advice and wisdom!

Cheers…Greg in South Carolina

With a pressure washer under 4 gpm, 20" might be too big. 16" should suit what you’re trying to do since you’re not doing it day in and day out. The polymer is fine for the same reasons and you’re not using heat.

Man, don’t delete that thread. It is spot on. He pulled a quick one and lost respect with me at least. Probably with all with integrity here
