Cleaning concrete w/o pressure

There font is huge because you put a # right next to a #number

Someone correct me if im wrong, but i believe you need to know the PSI of the machine for optimal nozzle size.

5.5 gpm @ 4000 PSI would be a 2.5
5.5 gpm @ 2500 PSI would be a 3.5

I believe those would be the sizes for max pressure at those PSI.

If you didnt want to run that much pressure all the time, you could go larger with the nozzles to drop the PSI even further. I’ve read that 2500 PSI is sufficient for residential.

@Jordie hey Jordie. I bought a bottle of the purple zep degreaser at menards for the sake of testing it today. I just tried it on two oil stains in my garage out of a bucket mixed to the specs on the bottle. Do you x-jet or downstream this stuff?

I’m not really interested in DSing it myself, but I can get close to the same mix with the x-jet. The reason I ask is because it pulled up these oil stains that were here before I ever got here and it did it with cold water.

I guess the short question is, how are you using this stuff? Ratio? Hot water?

I have downstreamed it. I don’t have an XJet but I have a variable pressure wand, so I can downstream at will without having to go back to the truck. But I digress.

I’ll usually pour a gallon Zep/4gal water into 5 gal bucket. However, bear in mind that I am doing fast food restaurants, so at times, when they have had bad food grease spills, I will wet concrete and pour Zep straight, scrub manually, hit with surface cleaner, heat. It has had very good results.

Since I’ve been using R202, that is what I’ve been downstreaming and using Zep Purple for aforementioned spot removal.

Also, yes hot water, about 212 degrees, 4000psi divided by 3 surface cleaner nozzles, 7gpm.

Thanks man! Where are you getting R202? I wanna test it next.

My chick fil a contract wanted the drive thru pad and the customer entrance done this morning. I just did it all 30 days ago and it was bad… really bad. Long story short, I x-jetted the purple zep at 50/50, scrubbed a little and did my thing. Tried it with cold water. Came out awesome. Really impressed with this stuff.

This dang forum won’t let me upload pictures at the moment which is killing my testimonial about this stuff… lol

Are you taking pictures with a gopro on a head mount?

That’s real nice.

Off topic, but what’s a good model of variable pressure wand?

You know, i don’t really know, lol. I don’t even know what i have. I just said, “Jerry, hook me up.”

Lol, is that local vendor or an online source?

Local if you’re in San Diego, otherwise online.
