Building your own skid?

Realized I left my gun at the last customers house so I had to take off. It’s dark now. I’ll snap one tomorrow.

If it’s a SIG I’d just leave it there

Your crazy

Im in the position as you Kerbro, I decided to buy a solid top plastic pallet. Im just wondering what would be the best way to mount everything on top of it, and what bolts/nuts/etc. to use for that.

Yeah, my concern would be stripping out the plastic overtime if I just used screws so maybe some kind of nut and bolt with washer type system would work better. I can fit two 48x48 pallets in my truck bed so I’ll probably arrange it so that I can take each off individually with no issues. Then in the winter I can easily store them in a storage unit or something like that.

Negative on the high point …I like all my fingers lol

you ever watched some of the youtube videos where they torture test them? I would likely never own one but I was pretty impressed on how much abuse some folks put them through. One guy shot the Hi-Point with another handgun and then shot the Hi-Point lol

Maybe a good truck gun for in the glove box. That’s about it!

So here are some not so great pics. I have to do a wash after work and I’ll take some more. The 35 gallon tank is straight 12.5sh and the 5 gallon bucket is sitting inside of another 5 gallon bucket that is mounted to the skid. It has my freshwash mix in it and I have a ball valve that is hooked into the SH line. I can pull SH and housewash mix from 1 line and still adjust the mixes when I’m using my 12v pump. I am getting rid of the buckets and replacing them with an actual chemical tank that’s 8-10 gallons.

Its amazing how much space you still have left on the truck. I bet the negative space keeps you up at night dreaming about what you’re going to install there next.

Once I get the water tank under this skid all plumed up I will be a happy camper! Been waiting on this tank for 3 months. I don’t want to add much more or it will look like a big pile of garbage. This is also a short-bed… My next build will be a long bed standard bed F-250 and all 3 hose reels will be mounted on the bedside on passenger side. Maybe do a flatbed?

This thread covers the build a bit better. Maybe one day Ill do a complete front to back thread of specs and build. But I’m sure the regulars get tired of seeing my truck lol

Were you a plumber in a previous life?

Yeah haha I saw that. Demolition ranch I think is the YouTube guy who was testing it. I would still never own one though.

No, stripper… Just grew up watching my dad do plumbing on the house. I get an idea in my head and it won’t leave until I build it. Even if it is stupid and doesn’t work in the end…

Very nice sir, hows it holding up now or have you changed up anything!! Thanks

Haven’t ran this rig in a few years. Upgraded to a cab over truck then back to a trailer since then! It worked great while it lasted. But I didn’t have much room
