3100 psi, 2.5 GPM crawling before i walk

For sure. Just don’t mistake saving money for making money

It can be done. I have a 3100psi 2.5 gpm machine. I purchased a GP Hi-Draw 2-3 gpm injector. purchased 2 50ft high pressure hose + the 30ft one that came with the unit. 2nd story soap and rinse nozzle. 18" telescoping pole. I already had the telescoping pole, 50ft of hose, pressure washer. I get 10% sh at Walmart and ordered some elemonator. Bottom line it works and it can be done.

Great advise this is exactly what I do. I order door hangars, and look for ranch style homes/communities. saturate a tight geographical location and wait for the phone to ring. I sometimes put the actual price for the house wash on the advertisement as I’m putting the flyers out that way the estimate is done. when they call it is almost always to book the job.

I know what the 'pro’s are saying, but you absolutely can clean houses and driveways with a 2.5gpm.unit. I do quite a few. Of course I do plan to upgrade to probably a 4 or 5gpm unit to cut time and make life a little easier.
You really need the right chemical mixture and tips.
I use a pink tip for higher up soaping and a light blue tip where needed. I can get to the peak on most every home without a ladder. I also gave a,surface cleaner that works great on flat surfaces.

It will take you longer, but you can certainly do it and gave satisfied customers and make money.

I am about to start this business and have many doubts, i waited for months until i found a 4000 psi 4.3 gpm belt driven, got it on craigslist for $625 dollars, one piston was cracked but in Mexico those repairs come cheap… do what you can with your machine for now, if these guys suggest to buy a bigger machine do it, they know what theyre talking about. This forum has helped me a lot to clear out a looot of doubts, even got to meet a person from here who really helped me.

@Racer hello Mr, i saw on northern tool those ATV containers with a pump like for $150 or something, do you think it would be good (in a near future) to get one of those and use that container for applying chemicals and use another tank separately for my pressure washer?

Those 15 gallon tanks by grayco deteriorate in tbe sun, become brittle and crack

Hear you 100% buddy, same boat. It just takes a little longer. I did this house in 1.5 hours. 1800 sq ft. Black tip, pink tip, light blue tip and my 48" wand! I use the black and Decker scrubber from lowes on flat surfaces. Does great! Of course once I get a larger machine I’ll be laughing at myself of how much time it took to do this but you know what I’m making money it turns out it’s all good for now. And by no means am I trying to bad-mouth anyone that does have the really good equipment I get it but I also get your point you got to get what you can get to get where you need to go

I used a CC to buy a Pressure Pro 4000psi 4GPM belt driven cat pump with a Honda. Paid for itself in the first week. Learning the chemistry can be the most beneficial aspect and thats free. Its just research time. The sooner you get the right machine the sooner you can use a surface cleaner. The sooner you have those the sooner you’re knocking out houses that are paying more and doing it in less time.

I have seen the ATV tank (obviously doesn’t need to be on the ATV) and I have seen someone on YouTube modify it a bit. Especially the price, that’s not too shabby. I am in the same boat as the gentleman that you were helping out here. I have a J-Rod tip…would this setup work with that tip (I think the answer would be yes, but want to make sure I know before I buy). Also, how often would the tank most likely need to be refilled and how do you generally utilize the SH with this rig? Is the pump DS capable? Apologies for the possibly dumb questions, just wish to know all the facts/opinions.

Depends on which one you get. Usually the hose that comes with those is 3/8" so you’d have to modify to use jrod with probably. You’re typically, depending on pitch use about 1 gal of mix for every 50 sq ft. May get better than that on shallow pitch. It’s just a small 12v pump. it’s for direct application, not Ds.

In regards to the DS question, I realized the answer shortly after I asked it. Otherwise, everything you mentioned makes sense. Thanks a lot.

Again, thank you for the information. I am most likely going to piece it together, after some research, it’ll cost about the same as if I were to buy the entire package. What pump, in your opinion would be better? Also, I was reading up on hoses and noticed to recommend the red kuri-tech. For these 12v pumps, is there generally a limit on hose length not to exceed?

5.5 gpm is about least you want for doing roofs. Typically run about $140. Fatboy 7gpm runs $180

I run about 250 ft but most run 200, which is a standard size roll.

Again, you are a wealth of help. I did see the FB. If I am not mistaken, that ran a heck of a lot more on pressuretek. But, I know I would definitely need a larger tank to run that one.

Just bot a new one for $179. PM me for info
